Delve deeper into the Madness

Alex and friends return to a Wasteland in turmoil. The Raiders are scattered, the Exiles hunted, and the feuding Vegas gangs plot one another’s destruction. Makara, head of the New Angels, has the difficult task of convincing disparate groups to work together before Emperor Augustus and his legions arrive.

But while humanity fights amongst itself, the Great Blight prepares its final onslaught – and at the center of it all, there is a secret that could spell the end of the invasion. It is a revelation only Alex can discover, and it might cost him everything.

Book #4 Revelation (The Wasteland Chronicles) in this series continues to bring the reader fast paced action, new and continuous developments and a different twist to the story line. For a sci-fi story, the intensity is unique and interesting, with strong character development throughout. Mr. West tells a story that puts the reader right there in the action, writing in such a way that helps the reader visualize exactly what is happening. There are no long drawn out disertations of identifying weapons, landscapes, etc. The story line touches on these aspects for effect, but is not a long drawn out boring process for the reader.

I truly enjoy the different aspects presented in this series. The zombie style genre is there, yet, the infected are not your typical zombie in which one is used to reading about. This series goes far beyond the unexpected, bringing the reader to a “must see what happens next” mindset.

I will finish this series; for to not do so, would leave me wondering just what I missed and how this series ends. I would rather lose sleep reading this series, than lose sleep in not knowing how it ends.
